Hey I am Erika of Black Girls Who Brunch. I am originally from Kansas City Missouri (this informs my opinion on barbecue) but I grew up in Houston, Texas and consider it home! I am a part time blogger, full time attorney who spends much of my time sharing restaurant reviews of my favorite Houston restaurants. I have also expanded in to more recipes over the recent years.

I've always loved to eat out and over time people started asking me for recommendations. I decided to combine another love of mine, writing and create a food blog to chronicle my foodie adventures. I also saw it as a creative outlet to my day job as an attorney.

My blogs primary focus is restaurant reviews. I try to provide my readers an insight in to new and great restaurants in Houston. Also, since my audience is primarily black women, I hope to provide a source for them to find spots that suit their palate! In addition to restaurants, I dabble in teh occasional recipe, mainly sweets. While I enjoy the food related posts, I think I most enjoy writing about travel and providing my audiences tips and recommendations for their next adventure!
